The Tavern is hopping with all of the March Birthdays. Michelle and Lorraine were the Birthday girls. Thanks Lynn for baking the cakes.

I made it back to Yellow Pine. just in time for the Annual Pie Contest in honor of Valentine's Day. The winners were Rhonda first place for razzle dazzle berry, Lorinne second for grandma Ople apple, Roxie and Kat tied third for blackberry and apple respectively. Judges Dick,Tom and Bill had a a difficult but delicious job choosing the winners. Meanwhile outside Cecil got ready to plow the roads for the county while Zeba waited in the truck. Thank you Cecil for your service.

Christmas Yellow Pine style!
Ray greets folks coming to the Tavern over the Holidays. Michelle has decorated the tree and Nicki is preparing the gift bags. We have snow. Folks are coming in by snowmobile via Landmark and Johnson Creek call us for conditions. Winter hours are 9-2 and 4-8 mon,wed,fri,sat and 9-2 sun or call 208 633-2233 the phone rings into the house.

Thanksgiving at the Tavern, as usual great food and good conversation
Ray greeted folks from the porch for our end of hunting season potluck last night. We also celebrated Nicki's birthday party. There is always something to celebrate in Yellow Pine.
Our annual Halloween party at the Tavern was enjoyed by young and old, hunters and travelers and locals. Great food and conversation and Boise State football.
Our Annual Fish Fry was a great success about 50 folks showed up for great food and visiting with friends and family. Thanks to Stu and Tom for the fish: cod, halibut and salmon. Also to the good job of the cooks Jeff, Ann, and Merle. And the great potluck dishes from the attendees.
Hanging out with Ray on Labor Day weekend
We had a great Labor Day Fundraising Potluck and Auction at the Tavern. We raised $700.00 for our 4th of July Fireworks Fund. A beautiful day with residents and families and friends visiting. Great food and fun as usual.
Our local Outfitters pull up to the Tavern for a Beer. Hunting Season is coming up. Archery on the 29th.
Motorcycles coming through on the Backcountry Discovery Route. Lance says it's a Great Ride!
WARNING! ! ! Folks hoping to Travel the loop from Yellow Pine to Warren by way of Big Creek by motorcycle or UTV or car please wait a bit. These Boys went over yesterday, they met up with a previous group of 4 and it took 5 to haul their bikes over the snow drifts on a Vertical area. Furthermore a Suburu tried going to Big Creek from Warren and Avalanched into a tree, walked to Big Creek got a ride for 10 miles then continued walking over Profile into Yellow Pine last night and spent all morning trying to get a tow truck to go back there. Wonder how that went.

Prescribed Burn at Yellow Pine goes well. The last picture is of today smoke has lifted a few burning spots still going. Our last Prescribed Burn was about 15 years ago and the street was full of nervous people. This time me, Cint, Jimmy and a few firefighters monitoring things had front row seats.
Finally spring is here and our Summer residents are returning. Our neighbors Jim and Nancy have their fire pit going. Our other neighbors Deb and Dick put on their great Long Island Ice Tea Party. Summer is coming!
